Intramurals Are Great! . South Dakota State University

Intramurals are great! South Dakota State university is just one of many university in the United States. Like most colleges, South Dakota state has Intramural sports for all classes of students. Intramurals are a positive influence to the college experience. Not only do Intramurals create great networking opportunities, friendships and memories. Intramurals can be great stress relievers and motivate students who may not be on a school sports team, to stay active. The responsibility of keeping students ready and involved in sports, directly falls on the shoulders of Chad Voseekuil. Chad is the director of intramurals at South Dakota State. This type caused him to get rejected from the sports management program the first time around. Feeling embarrassed and devastated chad took an ugly look at himself. His goals remained the same, but the nature of how he handled his passion had to change. Making a whole-hearted decision to be the best student he could, chad stayed focused through the following semester and got accepted into the program. There he began to do a lot of traveling and even took a couple of internships for professional sports teams. Quickly realizing the work load was much more then he was interested in, chad moved on to Local clubs and high schools. Officiating any game, he could to create better connections and opportunities. Though his experience was growing rapidly, chad soon realized he needed a higher education to make is desired salary. Applying for grad school was a subject that chad wanted us to understand. Even with years of experience reaching a position on the top of the food chain is near impossible without a Master’s degree. Chad received his bachelor’s degree at the University of Wisconsin- La Crosse and his Masters at Southern Illinois Uni versity. After receiving his bachelor’s degree, Chad worked at Auburn University as the Coordinator of Officials Development. This job was right up his alley because of all the time and experienced he gained as an undergrad officiating sports.
